As we've already said, the targets were mainly users of hud software or macros (for example, by using a Razer mouse). The third banwave was the most controversial. On balance, you can see the results of the third banwave in the NA (again by Garfm) and in Europe (by Redditor Alexander110). Wudijo had stated in the video of his Demon Hunter record that he is done with Season 5 and after the ban it is highly unlikely that he can catch up and beat his own record. There's varying degrees of this stuff. However, merely a day afterwards (on April 10), the bomb dropped: Wudijo, who also held multiple fist spots in various categories in both Softcore and Hardcore, fell victim to the third banwave. Also, I once had my account frozen because I was playing the game out of state while visiting relatives. With Overwatch and Diablo 3 now permanently banning first time cheaters, is it time that WoW followed suit and began permanently banning cheaters on their first offence? Or is a permanent ban right off the bat too harsh of a penalty for WoW? Would it simply not work in WoW as Lore suggests? So if your account gets hacked and the hacker "exploits the economy", it also gets permanently banned? I know everyone should have an authenticator by now, but that's still a little harsh, especially for new players. However this stance seems to be conflicting with the company's current philosophy on cheating: the Overwatch and Diablo devs seem to believe that perma bans are the way to go, but not the WoW devs. While it may deter some people from cheating, players are not given a chance to change their behavior and show that they have learned from their mistakes. So it seems like there is a shift towards a zero tolerance policy within Blizzard. Diablo 3 cheaters have recently been permenantly banned too. Is it time that Blizzard took a zero tolerance policy for cheating in WoW too? Overwatch is introducing a zero tolerance policy for cheaters. Should all WoW cheaters be perma banned on their first offence? Most cheaters in WoW are given temporary suspensions with varying lengths before a permanent ban is even considered.
